Abstract
The invention discloses a cassava cat litter and its preparation method, belonging to the field of cat litter. The cassava cat litter comprises the following components in parts by weight: 50–70 parts of cassava starch, 10–20 parts of corn starch, 10–20 parts of bentonite, 1–5 parts of deodorant, 0.5–1 part of antibacterial agent, 0.1–1 part of surfactant, and 5–10 parts of pregelatinized starch.
The prepared cassava cat litter has excellent water absorption and clumping performance, is easy to clean, can effectively absorb and decompose odors from cat excrement, and also has antibacterial properties, thereby inhibiting bacterial growth and improving the hygiene of the pet environment.
Claims
A cassava cat litter, comprising the following raw materials in parts by weight:
cassava starch 50–70 parts, corn starch 10–20 parts, bentonite 10–20 parts, deodorant 1–5 parts, antibacterial agent 0.5–1 part, surfactant 0.1–1 part, and pregelatinized starch 5–10 parts.
The cassava cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the amylopectin content of the cassava starch is 80%–85%.
The cassava cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the loose density of the bentonite is 850–950 g/L, and the particle size is 1–4 mm.
The cassava cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the deodorant comprises one or more of activated carbon powder, green tea powder, zeolite, and yucca extract.
The cassava cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the antibacterial agent comprises one or more of tea tree essential oil, lavender essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, and peppermint essential oil.
The cassava cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the surfactant is fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether or octylphenol polyoxyethylene ether.
A preparation method of the cassava cat litter according to claim 1, comprising:
weighing raw materials according to the above parts by weight;
conveying the materials into a mixer, adding water and mixing uniformly, granulating, forming via pelletizing equipment, and drying to obtain the cassava cat litter.
The preparation method according to claim 7, wherein the cat litter is strip-shaped with a particle size of 2–3 mm.
